Fabio Ferrari
Founder & CEO

As Ardian Operating Partner since 2020, Fabio supported the Ardian Infrastructure Team in developing hydrogen projects, notably the creation of Hy24 management company.

As founder and former CEO of Symbio, a leading European fuel cell company, Fabio initiated the hydrogen mobility market in France and Europe by promoting a business model for mobility, based on captive fleets with Public Private Partnerships. This model was adopted by public authorities (former VP of France Hydrogen) and territories (The Zero Emission Valley project in the Auvergne Rhône Alpes Region, which became a model for Europe). He achieved similar success in his previous sector, where he innovated in call centers and voice over IP during his 20 years in the telecom industry (Comtas, Seditel, MG2, NetCentrex, Comverse).

Fabiola Flex
Co-founder & Head of Public Affairs

20 years of experience in supporting business development, regulations improvement, and public subsidies through public affairs and external relations.

As Director of Public Affairs and External Relations for Symbio, a joint-venture between Michelin and Faurecia specialized in fuel cells, Fabiola participated in the design of the French government roadmap for the hydrogen sector and led the deployment of public-private projects candidates for European subsidies (600 M€). She was previously Director of the Public Affairs Department of the French Rumeur Publigue agency, with a focus on energy and environment related businesses. In addition, Fabiola is specialized in economic intelligence (Agence de l’Information Technologique ADIT), especially in India.

She is a Sciences-Po and Paris-ESSEC graduate.

Nicolas Fernandez
Investment Manager

Nicolas is a finance professional with strong experience in arranging and execution of debt financing and equity investments in the energy and infrastructure sector.

He previously served as private equity investment professional within Ardian’s infrastructure funds, a leading private equity investment firm based in Paris, working on large-cap transactions with a focus on power and renewable energy.
Prior to joining Ardian, Nicolas was a structured finance analyst at BNP Paribas CIB within the Energy, Resources and Infrastructure team in Paris and Brussels.

Nicolas is an ESCP Business School graduate.

Matthieu Delouvrier
Head of Business Development

35 years of experience in sovereign and corporate finance in Africa, Eastern Europe, Russia, and Latin America.

Matthieu has held several senior level positions, as director at Lazard (International Department) and as deputy CEO and CFO at Swipco Group (1200 employees, 16 countries). He is also an entrepreneur, as founder of Swensee (investment firm).

His experience has given him skills in execution capabilities with governments, executive management practice, M&A, debt/equity raising, development issues, and large project (PPP) implementation.

Alain Panhard
Head of Nature Based Solutions Projects

25 years of international experience in large energy, infrastructure, and construction projects, with 18 years at Shell and then 6 years at Vinci. At Vinci, Alain was Managing Director of Business Units in Africa/Latam/Asia (turnover of c 100mln USD), carrying out EPC infrastructure projects (road, dam, water treatment plant, rail gas treatment plants) with up to +2 500pax multicultural teams, often in JVs. In these roles, Alain led business restructuring, numerous contractual negotiations and arbitration cases. He also served in the executive committee and as board member. At Shell, Alain held multiple roles in Business Development and Finance. He has lived in London for 8 years and Bahrain for 3, and has operated in JVs in Africa (retail fuel business with Vitol and PE Helios) and in Saudi Arabia (gas exploration with Saudi Aramco). He also kickstarted and built up the small-scale LNG business globally for Shell with the acquisition of Gasnor in Norway and development of operations in Europe, USA, and Asia.

Alain holds an ESTP engineering degree, an MBA from London Business School, and is a UK CIMA accountant.

Ninon Légé
Nature-based Solutions

25 years of experience in agricultural and ecology projects and policies, at local, national and international levels.

As director of the Environment, Development, and Housing administration in the Auvergne Rhone Alpes Region in France, Ninon carried out the environmental assessment of major infrastructure/energy projects and developed projects in areas of high environmental (flora, fauna) and social value (eg, creation of a regional protected park). This role built on previous experiences in agriculture development projects in Madagascar and Haiti.

She was previously in charge of representing the French Ministry of Agriculture and Ecology in international negotiations, dealing with the European Council and Parliament, and the World Trade Organization (Doha).

Ninon has a degree in agricultural engineering (master’s in agricultural development) from Agroparistech and is a water and forest engineer.

Pierre Forestier
Investment Director

Pierre previously served as Director of the Sustainable Development Department of Proparco and part of Proparco’s executive committee, managing a team of 30+ experts in environmental, social and governance due diligence, impact management, technical assistance and blending instruments, while serving as board member of the EDFI Management Company. Prior to this, Pierre had a diversified career within the AFD group (serving as head of AFD group’s Climate Change Division) and other public and private companies. He also served as senior officer in charge of European financial instruments at the Directorate General of the French Treasury.

Pierre holds an engineering degree from INA PG and an MBA from ENPC.

Corentin Mercier
Project Director

20 years of experience in forestry and nature-based solutions, from the management of projects and public investments to the negotiations of international standards.

As project manager for international negotiations on forests, Corentin represented the French government in the UNFCCC negotiations during which the fundamentals of nature carbon finance were defined (REDD). He accompanied the first investments in this field within the French Development Agency (AFD).

As former technical advisor to the Gabonese and French government on forest issues, Corentin also has significant experience in the conservation and management of natural areas, serving as the head of the French national parks’ federation. He was also involved in the deployment of nature-based solutions projects in Mozambique.

He holds a degree in ecology and economics from the Ecole Normale Supérieure de la rue d’Ulm and a master’s degree in tropical forestry.

Leila Hubeaut
Head of Legal Affairs

20 years of experience in energy and infrastructures contracts in developing countries.

As a partner in leading law firms, she has applied her extensive legal expertise and strategic vision to complex and high-stakes projects and transactions in the energy, infrastructure, and telecommunications sectors, with a focus on North and Sub-Saharan Africa (regulatory and public law aspects, contractual arrangements, project financing, and mergers and acquisitions, ensuring the bankability and sustainability of their ventures). Leila has a master’s from ESCP Business School and an LLM from Boston University.
