Next to a well-preserved National Park allowing for rapid biodiversity recovery, the project aims to restore a unique ecosystem where moist forest (high carbon potential) meets Campinarana (North Amazonian dry forest ecosystem) and wetlands. The area has been degraded by logging and cattle grazing. Agroforestry activities already implemented in a farm nearby are proposed to the families living around the project site.
